How to Stop OCD Thoughts
When driving to familiar places or destinations, did you realized that you can actually drive, talk and listen to the radio all at the same time yet able to reach your intended destination safely? Have you ever ponder how you can do actions like changing of appropriate gears, watch for potential dangers on the road and enjoy the music from the radio without actually focusing on them? Well, all of these examples have something to do with your anxiety disorder symptoms.
All of the above actions are possible because you have conditioned yourself to all of the driving sequences and procedures. Your subconscious mind have become accustomed to all of the driving habits that they have become its second nature, even without planning in advance you can execute those actions flawlessly.
It is the same to anxiety disorder symptoms. If your Amygdala (a tiny organ in the brain) is frequently overloaded and bombarded with stressful and frightening happenings, it will store all those experiences which will indirectly affect your subconscious mind reactions. When the ‘switch in the Amygdala’ finally got ‘stuck’ at a higher base line due to extreme stress, it will start to produce false assesment signal to your subconscious mind.
When this happens, your subconscious mind will react with a “what ifs” response and you will start to experience symptoms like anxiety attacks, social anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorders and bodily sensations. In order to get rid of all these annoying symptoms of anxiety, you simply have to do one thing, and that is to reset the Amygdala to the normal level. When this is achieved, your anxiety attacks and all the other symptoms will go away naturally. If you want to learn how I personally did this, you can go to my blog to read more.
